les cadeaux de Noël.

Since I was going to be spending this Christmas season away from my family, I didn’t really feel like participating in the typical holiday activities.  I usually love looking at the lights, going ice skating, setting up a Christmas tree and hanging ornaments, but this year, I wanted to get out of town and see some things I’d never seen before.  Like Point Reyes National Seashore, located about 30 miles WNW of San Francisco.  It took us just under two hours to get all the way out to where the lighthouse is, but wow, it’s totally worth it.

near Point Reyes Station

the lighthouse, which was closed that day

the beautiful sea, through the fence

a moss covered tree
view of the rocks – we saw a whale just beyond here
the end of the earth
the hills are alive

i spy a beautiful deer
