A little rundown of what’s been going on since my last post (I don’t even want to look at the date). Husband and I have relocated to Southern California, more specifically, Beverly Hills. Now before you start thinking that we’re living large in the 90210, we’re not. Beverly Hills has plenty of multi-family residences (aka apartments) so we found a dreamy apartment in West BH that is centrally located to just about everything. We’ve been here since the end of September and we still haven’t quite sorted out our place (still need to get a few pieces of furniture and hang art and all that), but I do love it so much better here and we have some really nice neighbors.
I am currently on hiatus from teaching Pilates and am focusing on getting my personal fitness back in check as well as continuing to work with my writing clients. That being said, it’s been wonderful to be able to spend more time workout out than I have in the past 2 years that we lived in Sonoma County. Getting a good sweat on does such wonderful things for my sanity, and for the first time in forever, I dropped 14 pounds without even trying since our move.
I’m thinking of launching a segment on the blog where I’ll be writing about all the fitness classes I’ve been taking since I’ve moved to LA in September. In the land of a million boutique fitness studios, it can be a bit daunting of what workouts are appropriate for you. I’m going to give you a rundown of each studio, costs, requirements, and what I love/dislike about each. What do you think? (And don’t worry, I’m not planning on completely changing this site to just fitness and vegan food or anything, I couldn’t possibly give up cheese or croissants.)
