About Me
I’m a former ballet dancer and have a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Hawai’i, where my coursework included anatomy, movement fundamentals, and dance kinesiology, as well as a vigorous schedule of dance technique classes. I picked up Pilates during college to help with dancing, and when I moved to San Francisco to pursue an arts career, I continued taking Pilates, dance classes, and Gyrotonic sessions to keep myself moving.
In 2016, I received my Pilates teaching certification from Urban Guerrilla Pilates in the San Francisco Bay Area. My 500-hour training includes the Reformer, EXO/Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Trapeze Table, Springboard, and Mat. My classes are based on a combination of Classical and Contemporary style, with an emphasis on proper form and articulation. I have taught group classes and private sessions for the past three years, with clients spanning 14-75 years of age, with various levels of ability and mobility.
We moved to Los Angeles in 2018, and I have recently found my new Pilates home at CMS Pilates on Melrose. I can also be found subbing at Club Pilates in Culver City, and can offer privates in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and West LA.
